How do we search for a word or phrase in a Microsoft Word 2003 document?
Let's say we wish to find every instance of a particular word or phrase in a document.
We may need this information in order to ensure consistency of Capital letters or we may wish to replace a word or phrase with another.
In the example below we decide to change the word Computer Courseware to Computer Manuals.
The class of 2004 were asked by their teacher to produce their own Computer Courseware.
If we wish to search within a text selection we Highlight the Text.
If we wish to search the entire document do not highlight any area and by default the entire document will be searched.
How to find the word or phrase
Click then and this dialogue box opens
Type "Computer Courseware" in the Find What box
Click the Replace tab in the dialogue box.
Type "Computer Manuals" in the Replace with box and then click Replace.
The replaced text is shown below
